How to install addons

  1. Close World of Warcraft if it is running.
  2. Open your game folder and go to Interface\AddOns (create the AddOns folder if it doesn't exist yet).
  3. Extract the downloaded .zip directly into Interface\AddOns. Each addon must end up as its own folder there, e.g. Interface\AddOns\Omen\Omen.toc, not inside an extra folder.
  4. Start the game. At the character select screen, click AddOns (bottom left), tick Load out of date AddOns, and make sure the addons you want are enabled.
  5. Log in. Most addons are configured by typing their name as a command, e.g. /details, /omen or /msbt, or from Interface Options.

If an addon doesn't show up, check the folder names: the .toc file must sit directly inside a folder with the same name. Addon settings are saved in your WTF folder, so back that up before reinstalling the game.
